Kim Pritchard

Aviation Maintenance Leader and Workforce Advocate

Kim Pritchard is an aviation maintenance leader and workforce advocate with more than 40 years of experience across military, commercial, corporate, and emerging aerospace sectors. She began her career in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance technician, establishing a foundation in safety, discipline, and technical excellence.

Kim spent more than three decades at United Airlines, advancing from aircraft technician to senior leadership roles overseeing heavy maintenance programs, airframe overhaul, and technical operations workforce development. She successfully led the development and implementation of Technical Operations hiring programs, strengthening technician and maintenance leadership pipelines across its FAA Part 145 and Part 121 operations.

During her career, she served as Director of Maintenance/General Manager for KaiserAir, an operation that included a managed fleet of corporate jets and helicopters, drop-in maintenance, and repair station services.  Most recently, Kim served as Technical Training Manager for Zipline, where she helped develop and deliver technical training for the company’s UAS fleets.  In each of these roles, Kim provided recruitment and interviewing support for maintenance technicians and leaders in both corporate aviation and advanced air mobility roles.

Kim contributes to the Association for Women in Aviation Maintenance (AWAM), the Aviation Technician Education Council (ATEC), Choose Aerospace, the TechForce Foundation, and ASTM committees, all dedicated to shaping the future aviation workforce. Over decades of leadership, she has built an extensive network of aviation professionals across airlines, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers, corporate aviation, UAS, education, and regulatory communities—bringing a collaborative, industry-wide perspective and valuable connections to her role as an ACP Board Member. She holds an FAA A&P certificate, a Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, and a BAS in Aviation Maintenance Management.
