About Dr. Ben Clark

Ben Clark is the Vice President of Business & Civic Impact at Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Centura College, and Tidewater Tech. Offering 18 years of higher education experience, Ben has worked in every school department, served as a School Director, received the School of Excellence Award from ACCSC, and was labeled “Top 40 Under 40” by Aviation Maintenance Technology magazine. As a native son of Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he still resides, Ben currently works out of his organization’s Home Office where he helps lead community and workforce development within 20 campuses. Ben received his Bachelor’s in History from James Madison University in 2007, his Master’s in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville in 2013, and recently obtained his PhD in Higher Education Management at Hampton University in October of 2024. Ben is also an FAA licensed drone operator. When he’s not at work, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and two mini-dachshunds.
